This digital zine featuring the work from Kayla's ongoing series Hello, I'm Trying My Best is a rough draft of an accessible alternative to view and understand Kayla's work. This zine not only features an overall artist statement, but the conceptual explanation of the entire series. In addition to these statements, each page features a piece from the series as well as an explanation for why each piece was made and the process behind it. Ending the book with "To be continued.." alludes to Kayla's plans to continue pursuing this series and extend/refine the zine as she keeps working.
